The deck features a highly oppressive, control-oriented strategy focused on completely locking down the opponent by putting their Pokémon to Sleep using a versatile trio of status-inflicting tools: Milotic, Igglybuff, and Darkrai. This constant disruption feeds directly into Darkrai's passive Ability, which maximizes your chip damage by automatically dealing 20 damage to any sleeping Pokémon at the end of each turn, steadily draining their health without even needing to launch an attack. However, this strategy is inherently fragile and heavily reliant on specific status conditions. Your entire damage engine completely stalls out if the opponent's Pokémon manages to wake up or avoid being put to Sleep. Furthermore, the deck suffers from severe defensive vulnerabilities; with the sole exception of Milotic ex, the majority of the Pokémon in your lineup have exceptionally low HP, making your bench highly susceptible to being swept if the opponent manages to break through your Sleep lock.
